It is God’s will for us to be healed.  He is willing and able to do it.

It is one thing to believe that God heals.  It is another thing entirely to believe that God wants to heal us.

The Word of God gives us confidence that He wants us healed, but we must place that Word in our hearts.  Many of us try to receive healing when we have not first placed the Word in our hearts. Faith is there when we take the time to put the Word in our hearts. We meditate on God’s Word, think on it, read it, and listen to it over and over again until it gets down in our hearts. Faith comes out and gets the job done.  Faith will cause God’s power to enter and change our bodies.

We need our own faith working in us.  According to Matthew 13:15, “at any time,” God’s healing power will enter our bodies the moment we release our faith.

Many have learned erroneously that God puts sickness and disease on our bodies.  Therefore, we must be converted in our thinking and learn to think like God thinks.

According to Isaiah 55:11, God’s ways are higher than our ways.  The Word helps us think in line with God’s thoughts so we will agree with Him.

There was no sickness or disease before Adam sinned, which means that God’s will is never for us to be sick.

If we believe it is God’s will for us to be sick, then we cannot approach that same God for healing. That would be double mindedness.

Healing is not just a New Testament benefit. God has always made or found a way for His people to be healed and well.

Psalm 103:2-3 states that healing is a benefit.  Just like an insurance policy and a job offer benefits, God offers benefits for those who work for Him and serve Him.

Psalm 107:20 states that God’s Word has the anointing to heal.

This is the purpose of the healing school – to give sick, infirmed, diseased, and demonically bound individuals an opportunity to hear God’s Word and be healed.

The Word of God states, “According to your faith, be it unto you”(Matthew 9:29). Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Our faith cannot operate beyond our knowledge of God’s Word. God’s Word is His will.  Once we know His will, we then know what to pray for, believe for, or stand and persevere in faith.  God’s Word gives confidence that He hears us.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: (1 John 5:14).

The lives of born-again believers are being destroyed by the enemy because they lack adequate knowledge that it is God’s will for them to be healed.

Plant the Word in the Heart

In order to live in victory over sickness, we must plant God’s Word concerning healing in our hearts.  Our lives are being produced by our hearts.

20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22).

The issues of our lives are decided by what is in our hearts. If doubt and unbelief about healing fill our hearts, then we will be defeated.

The Seed of the Word

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever (1 Peter 1:23).

The Kingdom of God operates like agriculture. Place a particular kind of seed in good ground, and it will produce after its kind.  God’s Word is like seed. The heart of man is the ground.  If we place in our hearts God’s incorruptible seed (a seed that cannot be destroyed), then we will experience a harvest of the seed planted. Satan cannot stop the power of God’s Word.

Results come when we hear the Word, receive it, and then act on it. Healing comes the same way we receive the new birth – by hearing it, believing it, and acting on it. We must put God’s Word on healing in our hearts. If we plant it, then it will grow and produce fruit.
